Hard days

Run on borrowed belief today

"This isn't going to work." Your head keeps reaching that verdict today. You've run the argument over and over. The people who went back. The reasons you're not like the ones who made it. The way today feels worse than before you started. Every attempt to talk yourself into it just sharpens the case against.

Stop trying to build it from scratch. Belief doesn't have to come from inside you on the day you're out. It passes between people all the time, like a jump start from one car to another. That isn't cheating. You've borrowed before. A cigarette lent you a little calm. It charged interest on every loan.

So borrow some. Call one person who still believes in you. Call, don't text. Tell them you can't see it today and need to hear that they can. Then let them talk, and let it land without arguing. Leaning on someone is how belief crosses over.

And there's one more lender. You aren't the one holding this together. God doesn't check your confidence before He moves. Some days faith is a strong feeling. Most days it's showing up without one while someone else does the believing. Hold this for me until I can. Today you borrow. Some ordinary free day soon, you'll be somebody's jump start.
