Hard days
Leave it in drafts
Gray days get one rule. No big decisions until the weather clears. Low moods write very convincing letters. This isn't working. I'm not really changing. What's the point. Each one sounds like the plain truth while you're inside the gray.
You know the email you write when you're furious. The wise move is to leave it in drafts overnight. By morning half of it reads like someone else wrote it. Today's conclusions are drafts. And some of them weren't even yours. The cigarette ghostwrote them, hoping you'd hit send.
A low mood is weather. It isn't your climate. It moves on its own clock. Nothing about today undoes what's being built in you. God isn't grading your forecast. He's in it with you, rain and all. Gray days count toward your freedom as much as bright ones.
Take the biggest conclusion today is pushing and write it on a sticky note. Put it in a drawer. Reread it on a clear day and decide then. Let the gray keep its opinions in there. The only decision due today is staying free, and you already know your answer.
