Becoming free
Somebody's taking notes on you
Somebody is watching you do this. Maybe a younger cousin. Maybe a coworker, a sibling, a friend still hooked who's decided stopping is impossible. They haven't said a word about it. But they've noticed something's different about you.
That's how freedom spreads. Lectures rarely get anyone out. People leave because someone they know went first and seemed fine. Better than fine. Watch any self checkout line. Nobody reads the sign. Everyone copies the person in front of them. The cigarette used you as its billboard for a while. Now you're running the other ad.
When God pulls one person out, He usually has a few more in mind. You may never know who caught their freedom from watching you across a room. Someone will. Tell Him you're up for it. Let my freedom reach someone who needs it. Your freedom was never meant to stop at you.
Let one person see it today. When someone asks how you're doing, skip the modest shrug. Tell them it's going well, and mean it. Mention the money or the extra time if it fits. Somewhere, someone's thinking, if they can, maybe I can.
