Hard days
You don't have to carry today alone
The old habit loved getting you alone. Isolation was its best salesman — just you, the heavy feeling, and the cigarette offering to be your only friend. So notice if today has that shape: pulling inward, going quiet, carrying everything solo. That's not neutral. That's the trap's home turf.
The counter-move is almost embarrassingly simple: let one person in. A text. A call. 'Today's rough.' You don't need advice and they don't need to fix anything — connection itself does the work. Hard feelings shrink when they're witnessed; they grow in the dark. That's not sentiment, it's how people are built.
And you have one line that's never busy. Prayer on a low day doesn't need to be polished — 'God, this is heavy, stay close' is enough. You were never meant to white-knuckle life alone; the strength you've been using this whole time was borrowed from Him anyway.
So make the reach — the text, the call, the prayer, ideally all three. Not because you're weak, but because carrying it together is how it was designed to work. The heaviness may not vanish tonight. But it splits differently when more than one set of hands is under it.
