Hard days
Borrow someone else's belief today
You cannot believe this is going to work today. Not dramatically. You have simply run the whole argument in your head since this morning and it comes out negative every single time: the people who quit and went back, the specific way you are different from them, the fact that you feel worse now than you did before you started. Talking yourself into it has stopped working. Every attempt to generate the conviction from the inside just produces a sharper version of the counterargument.
So stop generating it. Belief is not something you have to manufacture on the exact day you cannot. You are trying to be your own power source on the one morning the supply is down, which is the same mistake as trying to be your own encouragement. Conviction is transferable. It moves between people constantly and nobody thinks that is cheating. Today you are the one who borrows. You will lend it back, probably to the very person you borrow from, on some Tuesday next year when they cannot find theirs.
Borrow from two places specifically. One person who still believes it about you, and you already know exactly who that is: call them, do not text, and say plainly that you cannot see it today and need to hear that they can. Let them talk. Do not argue with them about it. The second lender is you, from an earlier week. Anything you wrote down while you were clearer is still yours, and it does not stop being true because today you cannot feel it. Read it as though a stranger wrote it, since in every way that matters one did.
And there is a third source, quieter than either. You are not the one holding this together, which means your grip on the idea is not what decides whether it holds. God is not checking your confidence levels before He does anything. Some days faith is a strong feeling. Most days it is turning up without one and letting somebody else do the believing until yours comes back. Nothing is required of you today except staying free while you cannot see the point of it. The seeing returns, usually sooner than you would guess.
