Beating cravings
Nobody would ever know
The place has gone quiet, the day is done, and one sentence just slid in. Nobody would ever know. It's doing more work than the urge underneath it. All day the thought stayed small because people were around. Now the doors are shut and it has room to stretch. The audience left, and the argument got louder.
The cigarette renamed that last hour your "me time," then spent the whole thing on itself. Nobody has much willpower this late. That's a schedule problem, not a character flaw. At this hour you don't need a decision. You need a routine.
End the evening instead of trying to win it. Walk through your place and turn off every light, one switch at a time. Kitchen. Hallway. Living room. Each click closes a room the urge could have used. Then straight to bed, earlier than feels right. You're allowed to be asleep for this part.
Nobody would know? God would. Not as a threat, the opposite. He sees the wins nobody else is awake for. Those are the ones that build who you're becoming, because you did them for no audience at all. Lights off. Nobody's clapping. Somebody sees.
